Recognition at last

It's quite clever, this little blogging application I use to bang together This Blog Will Eat You. Not only does it take my scrambled ramblings and chuck on them onto web for all to see, but it gives me these awesome little reports about who's visiting the blog. Nothing personal, mind - just info I imagine some more hardcore bloggers would use to... I don't know. Make a blog entry about?

At any rate, one statistical section I like checking is the incoming referrers, which just tells me which site you came from if you clicked a link to get here. Now, I consider the audience here fairly assembled - most everyone here generally found their way to the blog thanks to my coaxing and ingenious self-promotional ploys. (Sucked in!)

Checking today, I noticed a few clicks from a site I'd never even heard of. Which is great news, it means someone is linking to me and sending traffic my way.

So, ordinarily, it would please me no end that an internet stranger stumbled across this blog and liked it enough to include it in his site - without me asking, or even having to link back to his blog. If that isn't a backhanded compliment, then I don't know what is.

But the wind was taken out of my sails somewhat when I actually ventured over to this random dude's blog, which, as I discovered, is called Gay Sky Hooker.

Here's his beautiful header graphic:

The first post? "Herpes Dating - I'm talking to YOU!", which goes into great detail about a sexually transmittable disease dating club. The blog posts then descend into random collections of Liza Minelli photos interspersed with pics of a naked guy bending over and spreading his arsehole wide - with a graphic over the top that says, "Say no to sodomy". It's really quite an adventure; if you get a spare sec you should totally check it out.

The creme de la creme tho: his blogroll, which is where the link to here can be found. I'm sitting quite proudly amongst a whole bunch of other gay blogs, in a section on the right titled, "Beware - these people have cock breath".

It's so good to be finally recognised by the larger internet community.

Hey it's the Gay Sky Hooker himself! Legend man, here I was thinking you were taking the piss out of me and my cock-breathing comrades, hehe.

Glad you're liking the blog tho - gotta admit yours has a definite kinda charm to it as well... once you get past the fucked up imagery
