It pains me to do this, it really does. At the bottom of my heart. But this has gone on for too long.

A close friend of mine, Michael, has been living a lie.

Now, I know "outing" someone is totally not cool. It's their life, and how they live it is entirely up to them. But this... this has gone too far. It's affecting Michael's work. His friendships. His family.

You know, you might think that a terse comment here or there on a blog is nothing; a bit of harmless fun that isn't hurting anyone. But when, after seven years of friendship and faux hatred, the deception has ruined so many people's lives... I just can't with good conscious let it go on.

So here goes.

Despite maintaining a bitchy front, putting me down at every opportunity (as a bestie is wont to do) and sending me emails to say:

Do I “dare” say that I have been reading your blogs… please don’t feel too validated.

Despite all this - and this may shock some of you, so I hope you are seated - Michael Hill loves me. More than life itself. And I have the pics to prove it.
